Not a single word about Ukraine from the professors and specialists of the strangled DP. Opposite him, equally silent, was Mr. Rama. To think that a few days ago in Davos a memorandum was signed between him and Zelensky
Sali Berisha can talk about anything, but yesterday his words stopped about what happened in the White House, where Ukrainian President Zelensky harshly confronted Mr. Trump and his deputy JDVance. A few hours later he would talk about a consulate in Michigan, about the help that Albanians gave Trump!! Deridiku has a right, because his name was used in the American Congress for the way American funds were wasted. Besides, no one could have thought that either he, or his entire retinue would be so silent about a war that is taking place and above all has a great moral background.
Not a single voice for Ukraine from the professors and specialists of the strangled DP. Opposite him, equally silent, was Mr. Rama. To think that a few days ago in Davos a memorandum was signed between him and Zelensky (!); a full summit on Ukraine was held in Tirana; to remember that in our country there was not a single Rama politician left, without using any kind of propaganda to show who was closer to Zelensky and yesterday everyone was silent. This made us disgusted, what we once considered pathetic from the effort of Albania and as always the political protagonists , who have tired us by shaking hands with Zelensky.
Far from these and the smallness of the country, never more than yesterday, except for the moment of Russian aggression, Ukrainian President Zelensky has not received global support, mostly in the US itself. On the X platform, which is owned by Trump's Benjamin, Musk, you can find many of these attitudes that show that the decline in the morale of American foreign policy is being felt first by their fellow citizens. Trump's former National Security Advisor, John Bolton, would say it succinctly: " Ronald Reagan must be turning over in his grave when an American president says he 'trusts' the Kremlin."
Meanwhile, Liz Cheney, now a professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia, one of the most well-known names among Republicans a few years ago, would remind her colleagues, now at the top of American politics, to read more about American history and to start their education with a quote about freedom from Ronald Reagan to his contemporaries: "Perhaps you and I have lived too long with this miracle to be grateful, as we should be. Freedom is a fragile thing and has never been more than a generation away from extinction. It does not come only from our heritage; it must be fought for and defended constantly by every generation, because it comes only once to a people. And those in world history who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again."
This is a great lesson for our politicians, who only think about their chairs and not the future that is now seriously endangered by the USA, which was once the beacon of democracy itself. For Berisha and Rama, this does not matter, because they will address the topic of Trump and freedom after January 11, when they are sure of their path.
