Was it possible to find out what happened to Vučić, who did not attend the American President's annual meeting with heads of state in New York?
I read a clarification, actually a jumble of words, from Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric on the X network (formerly Twitter) where he explained that Vucic had been invited to the official reception of President Donald Trump but could not attend because there was a clash in his calendar, due to bilateral meetings he had planned.
That only Djuric and Russia's Lavrov had real conversations with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, "not like some leaders of states and territories who take 'selfies' in the corridor". I believe the latter was written as a slur against Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani. (Yes, Osmani was at President Trump's reception, although Kosovo is not a member of the UN, while Vucic and Serbia were absent.)
Then Djuric attacked Borko Stefanovic for the "malicious and unprofessional lies he is spreading to the public."
I saw what this opposition member wrote: "Vučić, Putin, and Lukashenko were the only leaders who were absent from the reception for President Trump."
He writes that he may have met "with your friend and collaborator Slaviša Kokeza, who fled Serbia with a mountain of public funds and ended up in Florida or some exotic island."
Since you're waving the invitation that Vučić received from Trump, Borko asks him, isn't it the same as the invitation that a certain "Alex Vučić" allegedly received to the Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, paid for very expensively with dubious money? In the end, he said, even that much-talked-about meeting failed miserably. Perhaps, from that failed meeting, he wasn't in the hall where America gathers the whole world annually.
“…is it true that Vučić got so heated up by the low-level talks in New York, except for Marco Rubio, of course, that he lashed out at Marko Đurić so much that they barely let him travel on the same plane?” writes Borko, in an attempt to further inflame Serbia's exhausted foreign minister.
In fact, many Serbs in their comments have the same question: "What kind of meeting was this that Vučić couldn't let go of so he could go to President Trump's reception?!"
There is no rational explanation.
Është e vërtetë, se pritja presidenciale, në fund të fundit, rrallë prodhon më shumë sesa një fotografi kujtimi me Presidentin e Amerikës, të cilët shumë udhëheqës, sidomos të vendeve të vogla e paraqesin si ndonjë arritje. Por, këto janë momente simbolike. Thjesht nuk mund të mungosh në pritjen zyrtare të shtetit bujtës të OKB-së. Nëse kryeministrat dhe presidentët e vendeve më të fuqishme të botës shkojnë në këtë pritje, sado formale, është absurde që të mungosh. Sidomos jo një vend që po shpenzon aq shumë për lobim.
Nuk kemi se si ta dimë se çfarë po ndodh vërtet në rrethin e ngushtë të Vuçiqit. Mungesa në pritjen e Presidentit Trump është bërë edhe më problematike për të për arsye se Kosova e përfaqësuar nga Vjosa Osmani ishte aty. Mund ta përqeshësh sa të duash fotografinë e saj zyrtare me Presidentin Trump, por shumica e luftës diplomatike përbëhet thjesht nga simbolika vizuale dhe çaste të tilla thjesht protokollare. Aq më tepër, kur vetë Osmani në rrjetet sociale ka shkruar se fotografisë i ka paraprirë një bisedë thelbësore. A është e vërtetë? Edhe sikur të mos jetë, serbët nuk e vërtetojnë dot. Nuk ishin aty.
Sikur të mos mjaftonte kjo, nga një fotografi tjetër, duket se Presidentja Osmani, jo vetëm që ishte në sallë, por ishte në rreshtin e parë të të ftuarve gjatë kohës që mbajti fjalën e mirëseardhjes Presidenti Trump.
“...kemi mbetur jashtë, në shoqërinë e Venezuelës, Afganistanit, Iranit dhe Bjellorusisë”, e rrotullon thikën edhe më keq Stefanoviqi.
Filloi kaq mirë kjo javë për Vuçiqin me takimin e tij kokë-më-kokë me Rubion dhe përfundoi diku në trotuaret e Manhattan-it ndërsa e gjithë bota ishte mbledhur në sallën e ndriçuar në Upper East Side, me njeriun më të fuqishëm të botës.
Intriga do të vazhdojë. Nuk do ta linte këtë pritje Vuçiq për asgjë tjetër. Po si është puna?
Presidentja Osmani tani ka një fotografi zyrtare që Vuçiqi nuk e ka. 1-0. Le të tallet sa të dojë Gjuriqi, apo të bëjë sikur kjo nuk ka rëndësi. Opozita serbe dhe kritikët e Vuçiqit nuk do të ndalen së talluri me të. Ka dhënë miliona për të përmirësuar marrëdhëniet me SHBA-në dhe mungoi në një moment shumë kritik.
Le ta zëmë se Trump nuk e ka përjashtuar por i ka dërguar vërtet ftesë. Si duhet të ndjehet Presidenti Trump për këtë mungesë të Vuçiqit? Cili është justifikimi? “Më fal, por kam një njeri më të rëndësishëm për të takuar…” Apo nuk është ky një president me ego supergjigande e me cipë të hollë. Diçka luan këtu.
As for symbolism, the Serbs spent a lot of money on trucks with pictures of Albin Kurti around New York, where they accuse him of mistreating "Christian children" in Kosovo... I don't know who put it into their heads and milked their money, but it's hard to find a less fruitful propaganda campaign, in the least Christian city in America, on the streets most indifferent to circulating slogans, with visual elements and types of letters that one has to focus on to understand what is written without ultimately knowing what to do with the message they finally found.
So what does Kurti mean with Christian children?! That is, Kurti is some Islamic terrorist or who knows what. The angle of this propaganda is absurd.
Prime Minister Kurti, for all intents and purposes, responded to symbolism with symbolism. One of the first things he did in Manhattan was visit the September 11 Memorial, where terrorism really struck, where Albanians were also killed. He commemorated and honored the victims of a tragedy that was mourned in Kosovo and celebrated in Serbia.
History cannot be rewritten, especially not at truck stops. Now it's actually the Albanians' turn to come out with trucks that say: "President Vučić, where were you when you were absent from President Trump's reception?" Then Djuric will really cry.
Po ky burri i kësaj kujton se është ky president? Karagjoz delirante.
