This is not an alarm bell only for the sovereigns of Kosovo, but also for those of Albania...
No one better than this picture shows that everything means sovereignty in a Balkan context, with a Europe on the brink of war at its gates and in a world deeply polarized for controversial reasons, but not dependent on small countries Balkans, even taken together.
They have called it a 'powder keg', but the Balkans, if we were to quote a poet whose name I can't remember, is nothing more than the 'dump of Europe'. Time has shown such a thing, towards Europe and, separately, the USA needs to keep it under control and not let it stink.
I know that the chorus of sovereignists will feel bad from this post, but the photo of three Kosovo policemen, arrested by Serbian forces and making an example in the eyes of the entire public, speaks more than anything else. This is a reality that may not sit well with us.
Of course, it does not make us proud, but only an Albanian world in close partnership with the EU and the USA will guarantee our cohesion as an old people and peaceful coexistence with our neighbors, who have not been very friendly historically to us.
Even the recent conflict in Ukraine did nothing but try to wake up the old savagery. That is why Serbia is so important today for the EU and the USA.
It is also to guarantee and ensure our existence as a people in good neighborliness and in peace with everyone. This is not an alarm bell only for the sovereigns of Kosovo, but also for those of Albania.
