He knows what awaits him...
"There are not even a hundred of them, there are not even 50, maybe there are 80 in total..." In this way, sentences are exchanged about the number of people who have gathered around the Parliament, or in the places where sporadic protests have been held in recent weeks, among the rebellious citizens of Serbia against the dictatorial regime of Aleksandar Vučić.
After a year of tragic experience, with layoffs, financial blackmail, beatings, school closures, students missing the school year, no one has the time and resources to take to the streets further to pressure the dictator to call elections.
This is clear. Only in exceptional cases, from the depths of rebellion and inspiring reasons. However, Aleksandar Vučić, a coward, should not announce them. Elections.
He knows that, even though there are no longer tens, hundreds of thousands of people on the streets..., he knows that he is losing the election. That the same people who took to the streets for a year and risked their physical existence, not just their financial existence, will no longer work on that scale.
That time has passed. Everyone is waiting for the elections.
But the paradox lies in the fact that time has passed for his regime as well. While the time for street riots has passed.
He knows that, even though there are no mass gatherings on the streets, as was the case a few months ago, that does not mean that people withdrawn to their homes and workplaces will not say "NO" to his rule at the polling stations.
Despite all the electoral machinations he has engaged in... stealing and lying, Vučić can no longer win even in such rigged elections.
He knows this very well, even if not a single person will take to the streets to protest against his regime.
All those millions of people are now sitting on their couches at home laughing at the media and his propaganda, with which he is trying to change them. To impose his views on them.
They wonder what other fool could believe such lies, swallow such theft, such evasion of responsibility. For murders. The citizens know this.
They are simply waiting to go to the polling stations and vote "NO" against Vučić and then take to the streets in the largest numbers ever to defend the electoral will. This is Vučić's nightmare.
He is no longer interested in the pre-election protests, he is no longer interested in anything other than election day and the day after. He knows what awaits him.
He is a macher, he fights bravely for all the wealth he gained as a war profiteer and the biggest thief of property of the citizens of Serbia recorded in recent history. He will not give up on this. He will never call elections.
He knows that citizens are waiting for him on every piece of asphalt in Serbia, on every armchair, in every workplace, to take him to court, to answer, after he has left power. He knows that the mass of demonstrations is no longer a criterion for expressing the mood of public opinion towards his regime. He knows that he will lose the elections regardless of the conditions.
President Vučić is miserable. The protest did not fail, the protest succeeded. There is no longer any need to hold a massive demonstration on the streets of Serbia. The protest against Vučić's regime entered every house, every hole in the wall, every piece of furniture.
No one will ever vote for Aleksandar Vučić again. Only, unfortunately, those who are blackmailed and directly controlled. Those will be his only votes./ Adapted by “Pamphlet” from “Danas”
