This confirms once again that today the right in Albania is divided into Berishiste and not Berishiste, which is represented by Lulzim Basha.
The protest of the re-establishment today, beyond the usual scenes in the parliament and outside it, had a significant news. Gazment Bardhi and the deputies who follow him, who until today have maintained a neutral position regarding Berisha's leadership, were seen under his balcony legitimizing the "path of hope" as the only opposition path. Until today, Gazment Bardhi has not recognized Sali Berisha as chairman of the re-establishment, nor even Flamur Noka as general secretary because he thinks he holds this position himself.
Going down to Berisha's balcony, the neutrals lined up under Berisha, recognizing him de facto as their leader. This is an important news for the developments within that political formation. Apparently, Bardhi and others, even though they tried all this time to build an autonomous policy beyond the name of Sali Berisha, they could not succeed. They understood that they could neither use Berisha for their political purposes nor inherit his electorate. On the contrary, the latter used them for his battle.
All these deputies understood very well that politically they do not represent anything. Their only hope is to line up behind Sali Berisha if they want to win a place on the list as future MPs. Powerless to build their own policy, they surrendered unconditionally to Sali Berisha's popularity.
This confirms once again that today the right in Albania is divided into Berishiste and not Berishiste, which is represented by Lulzim Basha. All others are politically worthless. Therefore, they have to line up in favor of one or the other. The only ones who have shown that they have electorates within the right-wing electorate. Therefore, the union of several deputies cannot be considered the union of the right, as long as the electorate is not united. Bardhi's union with Berisha in this sense has no value for the Albanian right.
However, this is a clear political stance which is valid after a long time of neutrality by these MPs. Now the re-establishment does not have and cannot have a leader other than Sali Berisha.
Although the de facto recognition of Sali Berisha's leadership and joining him has deep contradictions in itself. From the meeting with Escobar in America to the recognition of Berisha as a leader, whom the latter has publicly called corrupt, is an anomaly. Or the attitudes of SPAK, where Berisha considers it a criminal organization and Gaz Bardhi has faith in that institution. All these attitudes constitute contradictions which must be seen to see what they will bring for the re-establishment.
However, for politics, clear positions are better than neutrality. The parties are now clear and it remains to be seen what the developments will be in the following days. But one thing should be noted. There is no neutrality in politics. Gazment Bardhi and others apparently understood this.
Apparently, they came to the positions of Flamur Noka and Albana Vokshi two years later. Two years of wasted time with political upheavals which only aimed at their secure political position and nothing principled. Because let's face it, they are going to Berisha today not because they think the same, not because they have the same attitudes or because they believe that he can bring them to power, but simply out of trouble.
