Sometimes Athens is not in Greece

Sometimes Athens is not in Greece

Yesterday, the biggest surprise revolved around 'when did Greece become ours? We were just at war over Beleri!'.

Was the latest event the meeting in Athens? The two prime ministers of our two countries announced a new strategy.

Up until this point, everything was clear. As clear as the colors of Greece themselves, white and blue, from the island to the flag.

Once the event lands here, it takes on a thousand colors and shapes. So much so that you wonder 'where is Athens, is it in Greece?'

The philosophers of the Greek minority are the first to take the 'map' of Greece in their hands and make it whatever they want, with colors that don't exist. I have tried it hundreds of times, since the Crete meeting in 1997, where Greece played the role of today's Pakistan between Tirana and Belgrade. That was also an international conference. From Dropulli, Finiqi and Livadhja towards Tirana, another reality flooded in from what was discussed in Crete.

Until yesterday's meeting in Athens.

For many things that happened there, the minorities of public opinion do not agree. Even if the statements are true, they do not agree. Often they approach the approach as if 'my prime minister did not do this job well'. Other times they have not even learned what happened, but they know that 'Athens is right!' and Tirana must listen to what was said. Last night, one of them dared to say 'what are you looking for here, after all, Greece protects the borders of Albania'. They had not understood anything that had been said in Athens.

Typical of what I have observed at all times is that the 'minority philosophers' have control of the government of Athens (!).

A matter of the weak and the minority in every field... A Greek from political Athens would laugh at these visions. But this has no weight in the definitions between states.

It is important that, one thing is developed by states among themselves and another thing is fantasized by groups of individuals. Again, here comes the irony of 'is Athens in Greece?'. Because they talk about one thing, but they seem like two distant things.

Yesterday, the biggest surprise revolved around 'when did Greece become ours? We were just at war over Beleri!'.

To the point of distrust. It had not happened that Athens had moved away from Greece, but it had happened that the two countries had developed their positions, had aligned their approaches and had seen some important demands of the time. 'Beleri' was gone. The Greek Beleri from the Progonat of Labëria was used for some small jobs, fed some negative feelings of some extremist groups, was controlled and now he is no longer a nuisance.

Should it be there forever? As we might say, 'shouldn't the ideas of states move, just as Athens is not transferred from Greece?'

People fixated on one point and countries moving towards progress! That's it.

The two governments of the two neighboring states yesterday declared that they will soon sign the Treaty of Friendship between them. The high 'mountain' of the Treaty passed unnoticed by all who 'philosophized' about the Athens meeting. Many passed behind the mountain and asked 'wild' questions as if nothing had happened. Again 'Athens' appeared what it had been before; even Tirana as yesterday. When they had changed. Man, strange, does not accept change even when great weights such as states change.

Questions were asked:

-Can there be a war for territories between the two states?

-How can there be war; much less for territories?! Two states that sign a Treaty of Friendship resolve any conflict peacefully. They are sworn to this.

-What do you say? About territories?... Under the Treaty of Friendship, both states respect territorial sovereignty.

-Could there still be a Beler where Greece will interfere in court decisions?

-It cannot. Both states in a Treaty commit to respecting each other's sovereignty...

The fixation on what 'was' Athens or Tirana makes them lose sight of the main point: the Treaty of Friendship. That is, the official political and legal agreement between the two.

The others are everywhere!
