An anti Blinken protest

How do they explain that the biggest protest of the opposition after so many years, "coincidentally" only five days after the visit of the secretary of state?

The protest of February 20, with the participation it demonstrated, proved to everyone that in Albania there is a huge mass of people who do not believe that the country is led by "an excellent prime minister" or by "an outstanding leader".

In this sense, more than a manifestation to celebrate the unity of the opposition, more than a support for the persecuted leader Berisha (it was evident from the participation that was greater than that of July 7, 2022), more than an attempt to weakened autocratic rule, it was an anti Blinken message.

Those people who poured onto the boulevard were the delegates of that opposition group, who do not believe the words that the American secretary of state said a few days ago in Tirana, who despise the ignorance that Blinken did to all the opposition, who express disagreement with the line that American diplomacy has been following for years, against any anti-Rama factor in this country.

By holding the biggest protest since May 2021, when Sali Berisha was declared non grata, immediately after Blinken's visit, those participants proved that they no longer eat the soap offered to them by the current Washington administration.

This is exactly what was proven by the participation in this demonstration of over 20 deputies who joined the real opposition, who after more than two years of reeds between threats of "eating grass" and making politics based on votes, chose the latter.

The so-called members of the Bardhi group, who had refused to convene "a congress against the USA", although it was requested by the membership, who had approved the expulsion of the historical leader, to keep him in good terms with the embassy, who ignored the militants in the name of a strategic future for them, they all turned in the ear.

Because for them, just like for every citizen of this country with two minds in his head, Edi Rama can never be, the one who was shamelessly portrayed, the American chief diplomat.

So, those who poured into the boulevard this February 20 did it to topple the statue of a new dictator, which Antony Blinken tried to legalize at the mausoleum pyramid.

As if to emphasize this message even more, no one considered the blackmail made by some representatives of the seal, already sold to the government, that this Tuesday a protest would be held against "our great strategic ally".

Obviously jumping to the conclusion that this was a protest against Blinken's messages, I am aware that the fire-breathing propagandists will make headlines for the Saliists' "anti-American" protest.

But it is simply their business if they deliberately confuse a single person of a transitional administration with the weight and values of hyperpower. Only one question is worth it: how do they explain that the biggest protest of the opposition after so many years, "coincidentally" only five days after the visit of the secretary of state?

I myself have the answer: this today was something bigger than a demonstration of the Parochist minority. It was the reaction of a majority that refuses to back down by selling Rama as an outstanding leader and excellent prime minister.
