This is not the first time the Democratic Party has hired an electoral advisor. Many campaigns have done so, even from the US, which are also the most expensive strategists.
In 2005, BG&R was taken over, which was closer to the Republicans, in 2009 and 2011, the Podesta company was taken over, precisely during the time of President Obama, who was very close to the American administration, then the Israelis, close to Netanyahu, etc. etc.
But in all cases, the electoral advisors have remained behind the scenes. They have prepared everything needed for the leaders' stage. The scenography, the speeches, the message, the strategy, the slogan, and above all, the media PR of the campaign.
Meanwhile, what is noticeable with LaCivita, the former Republican advisor to the Latino area of the Trump campaign, is that he is behaving like a real leader of the DP. A leader not only in the main stands of Berisha's party, but also in populist behavior with militants.
Who, with the American, seem to have found a political adrenaline that they had lost long ago. This is seen not only in the photos and selfies taken with LaCivita, who as always has the usual popularity of Americans in Albania, but also on the networks, where Berisha's fanatical militants do not talk at all about the "doctor" but about the "sheriff".
And in the anger they vent to Edi Rama online, they say: "The sheriff will show you." Edi Rama, for his part, as expected, has given the sheriff a semantic stylistic in the latif, stylistic that, no matter how much Berisha's "two PR stars" have explained to him, Chris LaCivita has not understood and will not understand.
Add to this the parody that has been posted online as a result of "Latif's" resemblance to SP MP Vullnet Sinaj, and the situation becomes even more complicated.
It gets complicated because the American advisor has failed to turn Sali Berisha's campaign into something serious, which not only Rama's campaign has attempted and is attempting to turn into a joke, but even the DP leader himself lends a hand in this.
For Mr. LaCivita, this type of campaign, that of Edi Rama, seems familiar because it is the same one that the Trump campaign has used against Joe Biden, picking on his guarding blunders as a reason for his advancing age.
Of course, it makes sense to use "Sherif Latif" as a hired leader for a month, since he is American, was in Trump's campaign, and appeared at the November victory press conference.
