I was speechless and didn't know whether to laugh or scream at the plight of Ergysi, who works the night shift to survive and the millionaire grandfather, before he died, did not leave a will for the division of the wealth but a bequest for the party's vote.
I don't know why this story confused me with the elections in England, France or Germany, where over 70% of the people voted for parties other than those they had voted for before.

In Albania, they still don't understand that the people-party relationship is a 4-year contract. If the party keeps its promises, the people are loyal. If the party violates the contract, the people punish it and try another party.
Politicization of society and affection for old parties is the obstacle to change in Albania.
Unfortunately, 50% of Albania are like grandfather Lleshi who for 90 years had no love for his family, nephews or nieces more than adoration for the party.
The new generations are suffering because their parents don't throw their old jackets in the trash, but still wear them patched and in some cases, turning them back to pretend that the paint hasn't come off.
In fact, Lleshi could not understand for 90 years that it is not the color, nor the geography, nor the history, nor the wealth, but the mindset that makes you European.
