I heard Fredi Beleri in Athens, at a meeting with Berisha supporters, where he apologized to them for the mistakes the PD had made, but assured them that it is united and will move forward.

And this is the only reason why he has the right to demand that the DP apologize. For example, Berisha could appear in an interview like the ones where the repentant ones appear with Çim Peka and say: “The DP made a serious mistake on April 10, 1994. This showed that we rushed and almost endangered the national security of Greece. Since then, we have made mistake after mistake, calling Fredi Beleri the murderer of Albanian soldiers.
"Today the day of truth has come and I am telling you that Fredi Beleri is not only not a murderer of Albanian soldiers, but he is heroically defending like no other the DP and the future of democracy, without which Albania cannot exist. Therefore, I apologize to him."
Such a statement, more or less in this spirit, could justify Beleri's statement today. Thus, all parties are calm: Beleri is calm that the DP has apologized for its mistakes and that he is clean, while the DP itself is getting over this complex of the mistake it made towards Beleri.
After all, those two killed were two former communists from the South.
The only thing that is wrong is the fact that Beleri is demanding that this apology on behalf of the DP be made by Beleri himself. That is, to apologize on behalf of the DP for calling him a terrorist and demanding his imprisonment.
He has overdone it a bit here, but it is a campaign and it is allowed. The important thing is that now Berisha and Beleri are united, and this means that the DP is no longer divided. About Beleri! Those who are against him, they have exposed.
