It annoys me because the biggest fear today in Albanian politics is the creation of a model that ignores Sali Berisha and not of course the government, especially when it comes from the opposition. Berisha cannot forgive this.
Jorida Tabaku is not the first time she has faced attacks from Berisha during her life in the opposition. He had the harshest attack when he led the Investigative Commission against incinerators. All the pro-Berisha voices in the press and the few who were behind Berisha in the parliament accused him of playing Edi Rama's game to close the incinerators issue.
After almost two years from that commission, we have a deputy prime minister, a minister, a member of parliament and about 15 high officials are in prison, while the investigations continue.
I'm not saying that Berisha didn't want Edi Rama's people not to be punished, but the problem he has is that he doesn't allow personalities or political actions outside of him to develop. He loves the field in black and white, either with him or with Edi Rama, but not against Edi Rama and against him.
This is his political school. The biggest enemies for him are never the opposite party but those who try not to be with him or the opposite party. Especially those who manage to think even without verbally speaking to him. They hate them.
This is the reason why Sali Berishë was enraged by the political success of Tabak as the head of the Commission, even when the commission was still held afterwards. Since then, he has been trying to make noise about the work of that Commission by inventing figures that blow up many painful truths that he has in that process, since he will rather make the work of a deputy that he has no control over illegitimate than I accuse the government with real facts.
The same story is being repeated now that Tabaku is refusing to line up behind him under the balcony.
Since Gazmend Bardhi and others lined up behind him in the hope that he will reward them by putting them on the list for deputies in next year's elections, Tabak's attitude, the only one in her job without deviating her attitudes, without giving us maybe we all say "that's what you said last year, that's what you say this year", it worries him more than Edi Rama. He wants it either with Edi Rama or in the row below the Balcony.
This is his eternal motto. So if you notice all the media batteries of Berisha these days are not even against Rama, they are against Tabak, since she got out of the scheme.
Above all, he is worried about the idea of what plan this Tabaku has that does not involve either him or Edi Rama? And it will have to be muddied.
Maybe Jorida Tabaku does nothing. Maybe she won't even become a member of parliament anymore, as it is a hundred times more dignified to defend my principles by ignoring the eternal leaders of the country, than to go after them by violating my own principles. But this apparently annoys Berishism more than anything else. The idea that a politician is independent of him is the end of the world.
It annoys me because the biggest fear today in Albanian politics is the creation of a model that ignores Sali Berisha and not of course the government, especially when it comes from the opposition. Berisha cannot forgive this.
He has been generating mud and hatred towards Luzlim Basha for two years just because he got out of line and muddied him as much as he could. Now a new headache for him is too much.
So don't look for logic why Tabaku is attacked, even though it has nothing to do with the government, even though it is the only one that has caused trouble to Edi Rama. It is argued that for Sali Berisha, the most dangerous enemy is the one who challenges his alternative from the opposition and not the government in front of him.
And there is no greater luck for a young opposition politician than growing up in battle with Sali Berisha. It's not just a war against him. It is the honor and dignity of the opposition. It is even the only school of dignity in this morally crushed opposition.
