SP in power beyond 2040, 96-year-old Berisha waiting for the 'chance'!

But how did the opposition, on the other hand, welcome Rama's new strategy, which made it clear that governing the country, now under conditions of integration, begins right now, warning of other governing mandates that 'extinguish' the spirit of the opposition and oppositionists?!

A day ago, the leader of the majority, Edi Rama, presented the new government cabinet, the leaders of the Assembly and the parliamentary group, as well as the 'milestones' through which the future SP government will move in its fourth consecutive mandate, in line with Albania's EU integration agenda!

Since the SP Assembly meeting held on Thursday, Rama has been clear about his objectives for this governing mandate for Albania 2030, as he has warned that there will be a reorganization and reform of several institutions, including the Albanian Parliament.

Rama has declared that the Assembly should have a maximum of 101 deputies and there should be a special law for it, a territorial reform and an electoral reform should be carried out urgently, where this second reform definitely requires the depoliticization of the electoral administration! And if these changes are implemented, the reduction in the number of deputies requires a constitutional vote, then again the SP creates an important basis for the smooth running of affairs in this country!

Meanwhile, Rama made the fight against nepotism and the protection of independent justice a priority for his fourth term. The majority leader warned that the independence of SPAK and GJKKO is a non-negotiable condition, and that his party, the Socialist Party, is the only guarantee that this independence is protected.

At the same time, the leader of the majority warned that the SP will continue to govern beyond this mandate, seeking not only today's trust, but also the continuity of the political tomorrow in the country. Specifically, Rama, while presenting the new names of the government cabinet, said that the socialists will be at the helm of the country for a long time. "The SP must lead for many, many more years. The fairy tales that in a democracy parties must be changed every 4 years, leave to those who tell fairy tales. It is an obligation to see the SP at the helm in 2030, 2040, and 2050. We will see it, that is, you will see it", said Rama. Describing this fourth governing mandate as the first mandate 'in function of Albania's membership in the EU'!

And the composition of the new government cabinet itself has evidenced a clear approach by Rama, where experience and political stability are at the center of decisions on the composition of the cabinet. This has meant that the new appointments do not present major surprises, but rather reflect a careful balance between strengthening political dominance and the real challenges that the country faces, with EU membership at the top of the agenda. And in function of this approach, the government cabinet was presented by Rama as the culmination of governing experience, defined by the Prime Minister himself as 'the government of 12 years of experience'.

So, it sums up the experience of three consecutive mandates of SP government. But it also promised 'oppositionism' to the previous three mandates!

Such a scheme clearly shows that for Prime Minister Rama, the government is not simply an executive mechanism, but a real mechanism to consolidate and increase the long-term political influence of the SP. The cabinet selections are a clear signal that the SP will continue to support its reliable base, an electoral body that moves with plus or minus 800 thousand votes for the SP in each election, in order to manage internal transitions as well as future challenges. Going beyond the left in his offer in order to govern this country as best as possible, as he underlined that the door should not be closed to anyone who 'becomes part of the pie'!

The leader of the socialist majority, which has 83 parliamentary seats in the Assembly, plus 3 seats for its hypothetical ally, the PSD, presented the candidate for mayor of Tirana, Ogerta Manastirliu, in the snap elections that will take place after the resignation or eventual dismissal of Erion Veliaj, who has been in detention for months on corruption charges!

So Rama threw down the 'challenge' of a confrontation in the heart of Albania in the capital, precisely for Veliaj's successor at the head of the Tirana municipality! A confrontation that the DP had been demanding time and time again, even protesting for days in front of the municipality, for Veliaj's resignation! At least formally!

So Rama, as the leader of the socialist majority, on the eve of the start of the fourth consecutive mandate in governing the country, clearly and precisely presented the objectives of the SP that he leads not only for this four-year term of government, but also for a long period in function of Albania's membership in the EU, and beyond. Even setting a time limit for governance, beyond 2040, until 2050. A clear challenge for politics in Albania, and those who challenge the SP to remove it from power!

But how did the opposition, on the other hand, welcome Rama's new strategy, which made it clear that governing the country, now under conditions of integration, begins right now, warning of other governing mandates that 'extinguish' the spirit of the opposition and oppositionists?!

Immediately after the presentation of the new government, the leader of the DP Sali Berisha, in a public appearance after the constitution of his parliamentary group, the leadership of the DP group are the same vegetative and unchanged names for years and years and without any contribution of votes, who wander aimlessly but with their eyes on Berisha in the corridors of the headquarters on the edge of Lana, as he launched name-for-name attacks on Rama himself and his new ministers, he unveiled the opposition strategy! A strategy that did not talk about the future, about the way the opposition would approach the electorate to come to power!

Berisha again continued with the denunciation of the May 11 elections, talks about the past, threatens to overthrow Rama from power by all means, although he has tried all the means of force that he claims he will apply for this fourth mandate in opposition against Rama, and nothing has been achieved. Only one thing Berisha does not try, the creation of a new spirit of leadership, a new approach to the electorate to come to power! Which means his departure, after 35 years at the head of the DP, which can in no way be the alternative of the future. Albanians do not believe in the overthrow of this majority itself, simply because the DP uses violent vocabulary and ways of becoming the opposition. Citizens are looking for new opposition alternatives, to confront them and then decide who to vote for! They are looking for a new alternative from the opposition that inspires!

Berisha wants to use the same methods and strategies he has followed for 12 years in a row, which have guaranteed one defeat after another for the opposition DP, to achieve a different result that will bring him to power! It has been and is impossible, since in no corner of the history of politics, in Albania or in the world, is there an example that functions in this way, that with the same methods you get a different result!
