Saying "Long live Spaku" and "Down with Spaku" at the same time means confusing and lying to your voter, but also to your past, what you publicly defended just a short time ago.
The protest of February 20 has left a forced smile on the faces of everyone in the "big" PD, that of Berisha. Of those who stoically sit in the alleys every day of the week, but also of the newcomers of the "middle group" who are discovering the beautiful feeling of being slapped on the shoulders by the militants when they see them on the street or in the party yard. Beyond the size and consistency of the protest, the opposition cadre with Berisha at the head, are singing "victory" for the fact that the rally party finally returned to the squares, leaving for several hours from the claustrophobic alley of "Sala".
The point is that the enthusiasm that brings a protest like the one on February 20, is like that blessed August rain in the middle of a dry, scorching season. It is carried away, it brings with it water, stones and wood, but it lasts a little, very little. The flood stops, the ground cracks again and you have to deal with the drought that burns and scorches every blade of grass. This is the metaphor that the February 20 protest produced for the united opposition. A surprising union where Meta, Mediu and the others were also absent, and where Jorida Tabaku appeared in passing, while the "middle" returnees stood all shy and surprised among the people (with the exception of Gazi, who has the ideas of clearly on the side of the Flag)!
The protest only slightly diverted attention from the first major challenge of the united DP. To that challenge, which has as an insurmountable obstacle two terrifying milestones on the way to the elections: USA and SPAK.
Those who today applaud the unification of the opposition, but pretend to be annoyed when asked about the modalities, basic principles and how this union will work, know very well that the approach of the Democratic Party deputies to Berisha's alley is an operation with many unknown. A mechanical listing of names that believe and follow different philosophies about DP itself and about Berisha's personal fate, but also about big issues of our time that have to do with the country's interest and its future.
The first unknown of the conception of this conglomerate, which until yesterday was anathema among themselves with the harshest words, is that of the attitude towards America and its "offspring", the new justice. Besides the President and Prime Minister of the country, Blinken met only prosecutors and judges in Tirana. Well, today half of the Democratic Party, or more precisely Re-establishment, has sued America after it declared the political boss non grata. This half daily curses Altin Dumani and Sokol Sadushin from the street, calling them a criminal group and declaring them enemies and sold to Edi Rama.
On the other hand, today the other half, the middle group (how ridiculous this term seems now), continues to mechanically declare that it supports the strategic alliance with the USA and the role and position of the new justice in the fight against corruption (that is, against the palaces of the son-in-law Berisha, it meant a cynical mind). This group tends to sit in two chairs at once, drink from two mothers and from two fountains. An insincere alchemy that those who have placed themselves in this awkward role are not the first to believe.
Saying "Long live Spaku" and "Down with Spaku" at the same time means biting your tongue and clouding your brain, confusing and lying to your voter, but also your past, what you publicly defended just a short time ago. Being with Berisha and America at the same time is as hypocritical as it is ridiculous. Gazmend Bardhi would not even have to agree to sit next to Flamur Noka after what he said about him just a few months ago (after dealing with Babi e Zeni). In fact, it is just as suspicious and ugly how Noka himself agrees to cross Albania with Bardhi by his side, to celebrate "unification", after what he heard from the mouth of the latter.
Such contract marriages within the fragmented PD do not have the slightest principle or pure will to lead the opposition to power. They know that by joining, they only increase the number of losers, they know that the Doctor's votes lead to Parliament, but not to power. Such marriages without love are based only on the personal interests of the protagonists. A mandate, a temporary refuge to feel a little stronger and factored, an act of "bravery" to create the illusion of false power, which is as unsuccessful in perspective as losing in solitude.
They came together because the elections are approaching. Everyone hates Altin Dumani the same!
