Salianji, a hero or a victim?

Can Ervin Salianji become an opposition hero within the Democratic Party?

Ervin Salianj's attempt to gain political cred after his release from prison, as a result of good behavior, is completely legitimate.

De jure, the former DP MP cannot run for any public office, starting from the lowest to election as an MP.

In a statement, both his lawyer and Ervin Salianji himself said that they would take the case to Strasbourg, in order to declare his innocence. Meanwhile, today, the opposition politician himself has sought to call himself a political prisoner, as an MP who has been imprisoned simply because he accused a senior government official.

In fact, the reality is completely different, and this can be clearly seen in the decisions that the Albanian courts have given in this case. We are dealing with a clear organization to create a fake case, to accuse Fatmir Xhafaj's brother. By placing another character who has made his voice and statements.

Today we have senior politicians who have been convicted of "abuse of office" in circumstances where there was neither falsification nor the establishment of a group to construct the "Babale" scenario.

However, this is a closed issue from the judicial point of view. In all likelihood, the Strasbourg Court will deal, if it happens, with the issue of human rights violations by the party suing the Albanian state. Because in Strasbourg, this happens. We have to wait for this.

Meanwhile, it is very likely that the criminal case against him will not be tried in Strasbourg, but rather another matter that interests Salijanj more.

So that the former DP MP is not banned from running for MP, because after all, he has closed his court file and is seeking the restoration of his political rights.

It is very likely, even very likely, that the European Court of Human Rights in the case "Salianji v. the Albanian State" will rule in favor of the former MP, as the decriminalization law that removes his political rights is an anti-constitutional and drastic law.

If this happens, then all those victims of the decriminalization law, former MPs and former mayors, or even mayoral candidates, will return to the political field after their colleague has given them an important victory.

In this case, Salianji will be a hero, but a hero of those whom the Democratic Party removed from politics in the long and fierce battle with Edi Rama in the first 4 years of his power.

But can Ervin Salianji turn into an opposition hero within the Democratic Party?

Now it's his turn to do politics without "Babale", so he has everything ahead of him and must pass the "test of Faith" of "Warm Hand"...
