SPAK's 'vineyard guard' effect

SPAK's 'vineyard guard' effect

However, the general thing is that all officials/politicians and criminals (of all levels) have been instilled with the fear that SPAK monitors them like a hawk!

SPAK periodically reports statistics on the investigative cases it has initiated or the criminal cases it has filed in court, while from time to time it has made sensational arrests of criminals or high-ranking officials/politicians. But something that cannot be captured by SPAK's public statistics/arrests is the fear it has instilled in officials/politicians and criminals of all levels.

With the help of Western law enforcement agencies and the BKH, under the strict guidance of Altin Dumani, SPAK has become the proverbial guardian of the vineyard, keeping a close eye on who might encroach on our 'vineyard'. Sometimes the SPAK 'couple' has shot in the flesh people they have left in cells for a long time, without convincingly proving in advance that they should be locked up there (Ilir Beqaj, Ilir Meta, and Erion Veliaj are the most prominent individuals). However, the general thing is that all officials/politicians and criminals (of all levels) have been instilled with the fear that SPAK monitors them like a hawk!

Thanks to these developments, the vast majority of the country's adult residents highly appreciate the work of SPAK to date.

A rigorous survey that I conducted two months ago in the field for a German foundation (from Vermoshi to Konispol), showed that a full 80% of respondents were of the opinion that SPAK is serious in the fight against organized crime. While a rigorous survey that I conducted a year ago in the field for the same German foundation (from Vermoshi to Konispol), showed that a full 65% of respondents were of the opinion that SPAK is serious in the fight against corruption.

It remains to be seen whether SPAK will continue to increase these ratings among the Albanian public...
