The Guardia di Finanza has conducted an anti-drug operation in Brescia, seizing cocaine worth 14 million euros in the apartment of an Albanian in Italy.
The Albanian, who had the role of caretaker of the apartment where the cocaine was stored, had been under surveillance for a long time by the authorities and was handcuffed as he was entering the house with two bags of narcotics.
During the search, 109 blocks of cocaine were found, with a total weight of over 126 kilograms. Drug packaging materials and cash considered to be proceeds from criminal activity were also seized.
Investigations are ongoing to find possible collaborators, suppliers and distributors.
