Librazhd police have provided details on the accident that occurred at the Katjeli mine in Prrenjas, where miner Sajmir Bego, 57, who was also the head of the miners' union in that area, lost his life.
According to information, the 57-year-old man died as a result of a landslide of mineral deposits that crushed him. The investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully unravel the tragic accident.
"Librazhd / Preliminary information. At around 18:00, in the village of Katjel, Prrenjas, it is suspected that a mass of mineral has slipped while working in the chrome mine, and as a result, citizen SB, 57 years old, has lost his life.
"The investigation team is at the scene and is continuing to work to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the case," the police announced.
