The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has sent for trial the 5 people accused of fraud with American visas and people smuggling.

The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has closed the investigations and has sent for trial 5 defendants, arrested for fraud with American visas in February of this year.

The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana sent for trial Renato Nasto, Klea Prifti, Klaudio Lečini, Klaus Kapedani, Xhemal Seseri and Eduart Gjini, who is still wanted.

According to the police and the prosecutor's office, one of the authors benefited from the sum of 10,000 euros with the promise to issue visas to the USA, using false forms.

Renato Nasto through the social network "Instagram" advertised his illegal activity, under the name "visa_amerikane_insider".

On the Instagram page, Nasto also wrote messages stating: "American visa with 100% guarantee." We guarantee the device with a 10-year US visa. You pay only after your visa is approved.”

This was the method by which he found clients and then went through the visa application procedures.

Some of the suspects used/submitted false information and forms in order to qualify for certain categories of US visas.

The main suspect in these cases is Renato Nasto, while the other people, according to the police, are people who have applied for American visas, so they turned to Renato Nasto and he helped the applicants to falsify the data of the electronic forms in the application for American visas with false data, so that the visa applicant had a qualifying profile.

According to the police, Renato Nasto, appeared on the day when the applicants had the interview at the consulate, at the American Embassy to obtain the visa. He accompanied them and instructed them on how to behave during the interview. After they finished the interview, in case they qualified (received the visa) Renato Nasto received the sum of 10,000 Euros.

Renato Nasto earlier declared before the Tirana Court that he did not commit any violation, but he helped citizens with applications for American visas by receiving payment at the end of the procedures.

"I have not committed any violation of the law, I have helped citizens to apply for a visa, those who did not have the opportunity to do it themselves, worth 100-150 Euros. The allegations of the Prosecution are not true. Currently, I also work as a taxi driver to increase my income", he said before the jury.

More than 6 members of this group, one of whom is wanted, are charged with 3 charges of "Fraud", "Forgery of seals, stamps and forms" and "Aiding illegal crossing of borders".
