The Greek media have revealed new details from the discovery of 3 apartments where narcotics were cultivated in Athens and the arrest of an Albanian-Georgian group.

The operation that led to the seizure of 1,575 cannabis sativa plants and over 54 kg of drugs also led to the arrest of 39-year-old Genti Kutra alias Genti Llapi alias Jorgo Talo and his father Agim Kutra, 70, both from Gjirokastra.

Together with them, two Georgians and a Greek were arrested, while the Albanian Ardjan Alikaj, 41 years old, was declared wanted.

"Zhugla" writes that the leader of the group was Genti Kutra, who until 2017 was imprisoned in Koridhalo for theft and robbery.

After leaving prison he intended to hit the Spanish hydroponic cannabis market. For this reason, he set up his group by keeping close people nearby, such as in this particular case his father Agim Kutra, to whom he had left one of the grass houses in charge.

“Getting close to the houses in Malakasa, Ippokrateio Politia and Kapandriti was very difficult. In addition to the cameras around the perimeter of the houses, there were also motion detectors that were activated when someone approached," says a police officer who dealt with the case.

For about a month, the anti-drugs had targeted the members of the group and mainly tried to locate the houses where the drug "greenhouses" were located.

The arrest operation took place on Wednesday afternoon when some seedlings were being transported from one house to another and initially a quantity of cannabis was seized, the value of which would reach tens of thousands of euros if it were to be released on the market.

The entire amount, according to the police, would reach at least 1,000,000 euros if it were to be released on the market.

As evidenced by the seized luxury vehicles, a Porsche, a USV and a motorcycle with a large engine, the group had finances. But 39-year-old Genti Kutra seems to have gained great financial comfort.

During the investigation, the police discovered that he had made various investment moves, lived in a luxury house in Voria Proastia and had a private yacht for his sea excursions.
