The family of Leo Sadiku, the 12-year-old who died on January 8 at the QSUT, have filed a criminal complaint against the QSUT doctors who treated their son's case, as well as those in Korça. They accuse the doctors of negligence and failure to properly treat their son, News24 reports.
Leo Sadiku's mother gave a long interview to News24, where she told the whole story of how the incident happened.
She stated that her son was not treated for 7 hours when he arrived in Tirana. She added that she also doubts the diagnosis made by the QSUT, "acute myocarditis", stating that the doctors did not perform the necessary tests for this diagnosis.
The mother also denies news published in some media outlets, which speak of violence against the doctor who treated her son.
"I confronted the doctor at the QSUT, while we had our granddaughter in the hospital. When I saw her, my eyes went dark, and everything that had happened came back to me. I told her why she killed my son and I approached her. I fainted there. There was a witness who said that I did not rape that doctor. I have left this matter to justice and I expect justice to be served for my 12-year-old son," she said.
