In the testimony given before the Special Court, Henrik Hoxhaj recounted in detail how the assassination attempt on Dorjan Shkoza was organized and carried out, explaining the roles, the weapons used, and the payment for the execution.
In the Special Court, according to journalist Anila Hoxha, Henrik Hoxhaj confessed to the "orders" he had given to Nuredin Dumani.
"I met Nuredin Duman. I met at Festim Qoli's birthday party in 2020. We met there, eating and drinking. We exchanged numbers. A few months later we met. Nuredin was interested in meeting me. I don't remember, but I think we communicated on encrypted phones. We talked about some murders. He had received an order from Krymi. He told me that there were some jobs to be done, are you interested? I said yes. Nuredin told me about two murders that would be carried out in Durrës. At first it was as an order from Krymi, but then he presented them as his own problems. He said: do you agree at first. Yes, I agree, I said.
At this meeting we discussed the murder of Dorjan Shkoza. It would be carried out for a fee. At first he proposed 70 thousand euros. He found the tools and weapons. The driver was Elio Bitri, from Elbasan. As for the time, it was shortly after the meeting, during the pandemic. We did not have a permit, but we were following the rules, with seat belts, with traffic rules. On the day of the incident, I went to Durrës. I met at Nuredini's house in Durrës. From there we left. We used a black car. Elio was at the wheel, I was behind the driver. I had two guns, Elio one. Nuredini left with us. We went for a ride to the service station. When we passed by the first time, he was not present. When we returned, he was there. He was accompanied by two people.
Elio tells me: here they are. There were three people on the sidewalk. I shot them with a gun from inside the car. One gun jammed, I used the other. One of them remained in place. Dorjani fell a little further. I said to him: are you Dorjani? He said no. I asked Elion: is this him? Yes, he told me. And I hit him. Elio also hit him once. He had a revolver. After the murder, I got in the car. As I was leaving, I said to him: leave me at Plepat, where I had left a car.
I got into it with my hands in my pockets. While the other car fled and burned down at Bishti i Zhurit. Nuredini was behind us and saw the incident. He told me: "Oh, my friend, it turned out very well." I received the payment for the incident, but the 70 was divided between me and Elios. I received 35. I don't know how much he gave Elios. After this murder, I lived in Tirana. I wasn't hiding. Nuredini told me that he got the money from "Krymi"," Hoxhaj testified.
