New details have emerged from Sunday's attack in the village of Rrilë, Lezha, where the owner of the barbershop, 30-year-old Sokol Daci, was injured. Police have identified the perpetrators and have announced several people wanted.
According to sources, the real target of the assassination was not the owner of the barbershop, but two sons from the Nikulaj clan. In addition to Ardian Nikulaj's nephew who was injured, it is suspected that the son of the businessman who was killed 3 years ago was also there.
Investigations reveal that the assassins are Gerardo Ndoka, Eliseo Ndoka and Kevin Ndoka. Their assassination plan failed because a plainclothes police officer was in the barbershop, and he returned fire.
Sources say the conflict between the Nikulaj and the Ndoka tribe began over the summer, near the beach area where both tribes have hotels. Two Nikulaj boys crashed their motorbikes into the Ndoka boys and physically clashed with baseball bats and other objects. Merando Nikulaj was later taken to court for this incident.
