Police investigations have revealed that Daci was not the target of the assassins, while it is suspected that their target was Merando Nikulaj, a relative of the late businessman, Ardian Nikulaj, who was executed in an assassination attempt about 3 years ago. According to reports, the group of suspects who participated in this attack consisted of 7 people, all masked with hoods. From the evidence collected by the investigative group, it results that 5 of the aggressors were armed with firearms, while two were holding baseball bats in their hands. It is learned that they entered the barbershop, introducing themselves as police officers, and intended to rape Merando Nikulaj.

Eliso, Geraldo and Kevin Ndoka, three members of the Ndoka tribe, who are wanted by the police, are suspected of being part of the group of aggressors, while the whole incident, according to investigations, is related to a conflict in 2025, between Nikulaj and members of the Ndoka tribe. Also wanted is 21-year-old Merando Nikulaj, who is suspected of being injured in the leg, but has not presented himself at any of the health centers or hospitals for medical assistance.
Reports indicate that at least two people, the already arrested police officer Kovaçi and Merando Nikulaj, fired shots at the group of aggressors.
The only one who has been arrested for the incident is officer Kovaçi, while the other identified persons have been declared wanted. He is accused of abuse of office, while it is suspected that he was not at the scene by chance, as he stated to the investigative group, but was accompanying one of the members of the Mekulaj tribe.
They have been charged with "Attempted intentional murder" and "Unauthorized possession of firearms and ammunition." The police have conducted searches not only in the village of Rrillë, but also in the surrounding areas, but have not been able to capture any of the wanted individuals until Tuesday morning.
