The Fier Prosecutor's Office has sent to court the member of the commission who is suspected of abusing the procurements at Lushnja Hospital 'Ihsan Çabej'.
According to the investigations, the citizen with the initials NB, with the position of Technical and Hospitality Manager, has carried out the procurement procedure with the object "Elevator service repair", in the amount of ALL 468,000.
This citizen with a functional duty as a member of the procurement commission, has alone carried out the relevant procurement practice in violation of the law and the regular fulfillment of the duty.
"Abused the procurements at the 'Ihsan Çabej' Hospital, Fier Prosecution takes the NB citizen to trial for 'Abuse of Duty'
The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Fier General Jurisdiction sends the NB citizen to court for 'Misuse of Duty' provided by Article 248 of the Criminal Code.
In the framework of investigations of criminal proceedings no. 566 dated 22.09.2022, registered on the basis of the audit report of the Ministry of Health for the audit carried out at "Ihsan Çabej" Hospital, Lushnjë, it was found that the NB citizen, with the duty of Technical Manager and Hotels has carried out the procurement procedure with the object "Elevator service repair", in the amount of ALL 468,000.
This citizen with a functional duty as a member of the procurement commission has carried out the relevant procurement practice alone, in violation of the law and the regular fulfillment of the duty.
At the end of the investigations, the prosecutor's office estimated that, from the totality of actions and omissions, the NB citizen acted in violation of the law and in violation of his functional duty and for this reason filed the charge for the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", provided for in the articles 248 of the Criminal Code and sent for trial.
