A serious fatal accident occurred this evening on the Berat-Rroshnik road, in the village of Duhanas.
According to preliminary information, it is learned that a motorcycle driven by Sajmir Rripi, 40 years old , went off the road while traveling from Duhanasi towards the city of Berat. The motorcycle fell into the drainage canal on its side, causing a fatal accident.
As a result of the violent collision, the 40-year-old man died at the scene.
Immediately after the accident, traffic police officers arrived at the scene, who are carrying out procedural actions and inspecting the area to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
Meanwhile, the victim's body has been transported to the Berat Regional Hospital Morgue, where it is expected to undergo a forensic autopsy.
"Around 18:30, on the secondary road axis Berat-Roshnik, in the village of Duhanas, citizen SR, 40 years old, resident of Duhanas, while driving his motorcycle, is suspected of having lost control of his direction and gone off the road, falling into the drainage canal on its side.
"As a result of the collision, the 40-year-old man suffered serious injuries and subsequently died," police announced.
