A serious fatal accident occurred this morning in the village of Hamallaj, Durrës.
It is learned that a vehicle hit a pedestrian. The victim is a 70-year-old man with the initials Gj.B., who died in hospital as a result of his injuries.
It is reported that the driver of the vehicle, a 57-year-old man with the initials MI, was taken to the police station to be questioned about the circumstances of the accident.
"Around 09:50, in the village of Hamallaj, citizen MI, 57 years old, collided with the vehicle he was driving, the pedestrian, citizen Gj. B., 70 years old, who as a result of the injuries he sustained lost his life in hospital.
Citizen M. I was accompanied to the Police Station, for further procedural actions.
The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident ," the police announced.
