A serious incident was recorded this afternoon in the city of Lezha, where it is reported that a school van crushed a child.
The child is suspected to be in the first grade and was transported to the hospital in serious condition. It is learned that as a result of the injuries, the 7-year-old girl was rushed to the Trauma hospital in Tirana.
The dynamics of the accident are still unknown, while the police and the hitmor group are at the scene and are working to fully clarify the accident.
Police notification:
Traffic Specialists at DVP Lezhë, arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense "Violation of traffic rules", citizen PF, 56 years old, resident of Lezhë.
This citizen, while driving his bus transporting school students, on the secondary road axis Shënkoll-Lezhë, had an accident with a 6-year-old minor girl, who was transported to the Trauma Hospital, Tirana for more specialized medical assistance.
The bus vehicle was blocked at the police station as material evidence.
The driver of the vehicle was also tested for alcohol, which showed that he had not consumed alcohol (0.00 mg/l).
The investigative group under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is following the investigative actions for the complete legal documentation of this case.
