A serious accident was recorded this afternoon on the Dimal-Berat road, resulting in the death of a 54-year-old man.
The incident occurred at around 12:25 in the village of Otllak, where a 45-year-old man, riding a motorcycle, collided with a BMW vehicle driven by a 34-year-old woman. As a result, the passenger on the motorcycle "flew" and crashed into the road, dying.
The victim is citizen Adrian Azemi, 54 years old, while the driver of the motorcycle, Alban Gajda, 45 years old, was injured and transported by ambulance to the Berat Regional Hospital, where his life is out of danger.
An investigation team is at the scene, working to determine the causes and circumstances of the accident.
"At around 12:25, on the Berat-Dimal road, in the village of Otllak, citizen AG, 45 years old, driving his motorcycle, collided with a vehicle driven by citizen DM, 34 years old.
As a result of the collision, the passenger of the motorcycle, citizen AA, 54 years old, lost his life, while its driver, citizen AG, was injured and is receiving treatment in hospital.
"The investigation team is at the scene and is carrying out actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident," the police announced.
