The serious incident occurred on Sunday afternoon, shortly before 4:00 p.m., in the disciplinary cells section of the prison. According to investigation data, four prisoners left their cell and broke the locks of two other cells, then joined in a violent attack on prisoners in another cell.
Those involved used sharp instruments, suspected to be improvised knives, causing fatal injuries. One of the victims died at the scene, while the other died during transportation to the hospital.
The victims have been identified as a 46-year-old Algerian and a 43-year-old Iraqi. According to authorities, more than ten prisoners participated in the fight, and it is suspected that the motive is related to settling scores between them.
