A serious road accident was recorded this afternoon on the Shupenza-Ura e Topojanit axis, in the place known as Boçeva, in Bulqiza.
According to preliminary information, a van collided with another vehicle, leaving two people injured. As a result of the force of the collision, one of the cars went off the road and became stuck in a tree near the road axis.
The accident was initially noticed by other drivers passing through the area, who immediately notified emergency services and the police.
The injured received first aid at the scene, and were then transported to hospitals. Preliminary sources indicate that one of them was sent for specialized treatment at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, while the other person was taken to the Bulqiza hospital.
Police forces have arrived at the scene and have launched investigations to clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident.
The health condition of the injured has not yet been announced.
