New details have emerged from the serious accident that occurred this Sunday afternoon on Arbër Street, where one person lost his life and 4 others were injured.
According to preliminary information, the people involved in the accident were returning from a funeral ceremony when the tragic collision between two vehicles occurred. The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated, while the police are working to fully clarify the causes of the accident.
As a result of the collision, 55-year-old Halil Gjashi died at the scene, unable to survive the injuries he sustained. Meanwhile, four other people were injured and transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana to receive the necessary medical assistance.
Among the injured are the two drivers, Xhoni Sallaku and Sajmir Cecja . The latter arrived at the Trauma Hospital for specialized treatment, while the two passengers, brothers Alfred Ruçi, 43, and Përparim Ruçi, 51, are also under the care of doctors .
Police forces and emergency teams immediately arrived at the scene, which intervened to provide first aid to the injured and to normalize traffic on this road axis.
Authorities are continuing their investigations to determine the cause of the accident, and it is expected that more information will be available in the coming hours on the health condition of the injured.
"On the road axis "Bulqizë-Klos", in the place called "Plani i Bardhë", two vehicles were involved in a road accident, driven by citizens Xh. S., and SC.
As a result, citizen H. GJ., a passenger in the vehicle driven by citizen SC, lost his life.
The two drivers and two passengers were also transported to the hospital for medical attention, and are under the care of doctors.
"The investigation team is working to clarify the circumstances and cause of the accident," the police statement said.
