Accident in which 3 Albanians died in Greece, Bulgarian driver under

Greek judicial authorities have filed charges of manslaughter, negligent causing of serious injury and dangerous driving against the Bulgarian driver involved in Monday's (August 18th) serious road accident on the Egnatia Odos highway, where three Albanians lost their lives.

The driver of the van is hospitalized at the General Hospital of Komotini, in stable condition and out of danger to his life, after undergoing surgery.

Once his health condition stabilizes, he will appear in court to testify about the circumstances of the tragic accident.

The serious incident occurred on Monday at noon, when a vehicle carrying three Albanians was hit by a truck, then the vehicle burst into flames, leaving three people dead, while another was injured.

The vehicle engulfed in flames also collided with a second car, in which relatives of the victims were traveling, but fortunately they managed to get out in time. After medical treatment, all passengers of the second vehicle received medical care and were discharged from the hospital, while the only woman who survived the first vehicle, which was completely burned, is in a stable condition at the Kavala General Hospital.
