New details have emerged from the accident that occurred this afternoon on "Elbasan Road", where two people were injured.
Police report that the 52-year-old driver of the vehicle lost control and first hit a 63-year-old cyclist, then an 18-year-old pedestrian. The vehicle ultimately crashed into the US Embassy's perimeter wall.
The two injured have been taken to hospital and are under medical observation, while the police continue to work to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
" On 23.01.2025, at around 16:20, on Elbasan Street, citizen RT, around 52 years old, lost control of the vehicle and as a result the vehicle went off the road, initially hitting citizen EE, around 63 years old, who was riding a bicycle and citizen VS, around 18 years old, a pedestrian, and then crashed into the surrounding wall of a building (diplomatic headquarters).
"The two injured citizens are in hospital, under the care of doctors. The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances and cause of the accident ," the police announced.
