A 26-year-old Albanian man, living in the Milan area, has been arrested by Italian police after being caught with four blocks of cocaine, weighing a total of 3.44 kg.
He had hidden the drug packages inside a specially designed compartment under the passenger seat. The young man is now in prison in Bologna.
How was the young Albanian arrested?
On Tuesday, around 4 p.m., along the A1 highway, police officers from the Bologna Traffic Police Subsection ordered a Mercedes Class A, driven by a man, to stop.
During the first checks, the driver appeared nervous and impatient. For this reason, he was escorted to the Bologna Traffic Police Subsection for further and more in-depth checks.
During the search, in the space created under the right front seat, the soldiers found four blocks of cocaine, which according to the police was intended for trafficking to third parties.
The seized narcotics could have been worth up to 300 thousand euros, after being selected in drug sales centers. The material was seized and the 26-year-old Albanian was arrested and sent to the Bologna prison.
