An accident occurred on Sunday evening on the Librazhd-Elbasan road segment in the village of Labinot, where the 45-year-old driver of a motorcycle lost his life.
The motorcycle went off the road, for reasons still unknown. The 45-year-old man died in hospital, while his wife was slightly injured.
"At around 23:20 on 25.04.2026, on the "Librazhd-Elbasan" road axis, in the village of Labinot, the motor vehicle driven by citizen AK, 45 years old, went off the road.
As a result of the accident, citizen AK died in hospital, while citizen FK (his wife), who was traveling in the motorcycle, was slightly injured.
"The investigation team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances and causes of the accident," the police announced.
The police are continuing their investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident. Meanwhile, on Saturday evening, there was another tragic accident in Lezha with two victims, a father and daughter. On Friday alone, 6 accidents were recorded, where 3 people lost their lives and 8 others were injured.
