The Gjirokastra Court has imposed the security measure "house arrest" for Aldo Kalemi and Dali Nela, suspected of involvement in the murder of Endri Goxhaj in Memaliaj, an event that occurred on April 21.
The decision was made by the Court of First Instance, which accepted the request of the prosecutor in the case, Aulona Haxhiraj. The two citizens are accused of the criminal offenses of "murder committed in collaboration" and "unlicensed possession of weapons".
Aldo Kalemi was present at the hearing, while Dali Nela was represented by his lawyer, as he remains hospitalized at the "Omer Nishani" hospital in Gjirokastra, following his injury. The hearing was held about 20 minutes late due to the initial absence of the judge and prosecutor.
According to the prosecution, the incident began as a conflict between several people and then escalated with the use of firearms. The investigations were also based on seized footage, while weapons, ammunition, vehicles, motorbikes and mobile phones were found and seized at the scene, which are expected to help in fully clarifying the circumstances.
Meanwhile, work continues to capture the two wanted persons and to identify any other persons involved in the incident.
