Police have responded to an accident that occurred yesterday evening in the city of Vlora, where a 17-year-old boy tragically lost his life. The young man was hit by a car while riding a motorbike. The victim has been identified as Leandro Shametaj, 17 years old.
Police announce that they have arrested 32-year-old driver Hait Bajramaj, who was traveling at high speed and while intoxicated in his Porsche vehicle.
He is accused of the criminal offenses of "Irregular Driving" and "Violation of Traffic Rules".
"Specialists from the Vlora Urban and Interurban Traffic Section arrested in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offenses of "Irregular Driving" and "Violation of Road Traffic Rules", citizen HB, 32 years old, resident of Vlora, after on 28.10.2025, at around 00:15, on "Ismail Qemali" Boulevard, while driving a "Porsche" vehicle, while intoxicated, he collided with a "Trinity" motorcycle, driven by a minor citizen, 17 years old, who died as a result," the police announced.
According to witnesses at the scene, the collision was fatal and the minor died instantly. The same sources indicate that due to the strong impact, the victim's body was severely damaged.
