The former democratic mayor of Lezha, Fran Frrokaj, is suspected of having escaped after being sentenced to 4 years in prison by the Court of Appeal.
The appeal doubled his sentence, from 2 to 4 years, but due to the shortened trial, he received a 1/3 reduction and was ultimately sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison.
It is learned that a day ago, SPAK issued the order for the execution of his sentence, but Frrokaj was not found in his apartment. According to the data of the TIMS system, it does not appear that he has left the country. It is learned that all police stations in the country have been informed about his location and arrest.
Fran Frrokaj, former mayor of Lezha Municipality was found guilty by GJKKO for abuse of office. He was accused of alienating properties in the "Rana e Hedhun" area.
