A 61-year-old man was arrested by the police after a pistol, ammunition and a knife were found hidden in his warehouse in the "Bashkimi" neighborhood in Vlora.
The 61-year-old is the father of one of the citizens previously arrested by the Vlora Police, as part of the police operation coded "Obelisk", as a result of which a possible criminal event against the person was prevented, which was to be carried out with firearm.
" The services of the Vlorë Police Station, following the work to prevent and combat criminal activity in the field of illegal possession of weapons, based on the information provided on the operative route that a citizen was hiding in his warehouse, in the "Bashkimi" neighborhood ", firearms and military ammunition, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Strike 4", in the framework of which the arrest of the citizen was made in flagrante delicto:
-VA, 61 years old, resident in the neighborhood "Left Sallata".
During the operation, the Police services carried out a control in the warehouse of the VA citizen, in the "Bashkimi" neighborhood, where during the control they found a firearm, a pistol, combat ammunition and 1 knife cutting tool.
The firearm and ammunition, along with the knife, were seized as material evidence.
The verifications showed that the 61-year-old is the father of one of the citizens previously arrested by the Vlora Police, as part of the police operation coded "Obelisk", as a result of which a possible criminal event against the person was prevented, and which would be carried out with firearms.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Vlorë, for further actions ," the police announced.
