The police arrested a 75-year-old man in Shkodër, who, during the search of his apartment, found an illegal firearm and 2.63 kg of cannabis sativa.
Military ammunition was also found in Pal Gjolaj's apartment, which together with the weapon and cannabis were seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Shkodra General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
" The Section for Narcotics Investigation, in cooperation with the Serious Crimes Sector and the "Shqiponja" Special Force Sector, based on the information provided by the police intelligence, about a citizen who was carrying firearms and narcotics in the apartment, organized the coded police operation "Prekal".
During the operation, the Police services carried out a control in the residence of the citizen P. Gj., in the village of Prekal, where they found about 2.63 kg of cannabis sativa, 1 firearm, a rifle and combat ammunition, which were seized as material evidence, together with with 1 cell phone.
At the end of the procedural actions, citizen P. Gj., 75 years old, was arrested in the act.
