The arrest of "Dad" by Memaliaj for murder, the connection with Aldo

Faslli Qibini, a 64-year-old from Memaliaj, known in drug networks as "Babi" or "Vasco", has fallen into the hands of the Italian police after 13 years of searching. He was sentenced to 22 years in prison in Italy for international drug trafficking, mainly heroin between Albania, Greece, Turkey and the south of Italy where he conducted business with the Di Lauro clan and the "Nardielli" criminal group of the Oplontine wing. Qibini was arrested while walking in "Corso Secondigliano" in Naples i. It turns out that he escaped from "house arrest" in April 2011.

The Italian police had put his family under surveillance, and this cost the 64-year-old a lot, who actually avoided the streets a lot, but he couldn't stay away from his wife and son for the end-of-year holidays. During the holidays, the police spotted Qibin's wife and son buying cigarettes in a "Tobacco shop" even though they were not smokers. Keeping them under surveillance, the police discovered Qibin, who at one point went by himself to buy cigarettes. The 64-year-old was transferred to the Secondigliano prison.

Who is Faslli Qibini?
Qibin's name is mentioned as early as the early 2000s, when an Albanian criminal organization led by Alfred Shkurti alias Aldo Bare was destroyed in Italy. Part of the group that trafficked drugs to Italy, apart from well-known names like Edmond Bega and Enver Dondollaku, was also Faslli Qibini, known in the group as "Babi".
In 2006, he was involved in heroin trafficking in one case as an associate of the "Casalesi" clan, where together with the Albanian Lavdrim Shira and other people, they trafficked heroin in Italy.

In 2019, he was involved in another group, now known as "Vasco", where together with his son Jonjad Qibini, they trafficked marijuana and heroin in Italy.
