New details have emerged from the arrest of the former member of the Durrës gang, Julian Meçe, in Dubai. Interpol Tirana has announced that 47-year-old Meçe has been arrested as part of the police operation "Attempt" and in cooperation with Interpol Abu Dhabi.
Furthermore, it is announced that Julian Meçe, who was wanted by SPAK, as being implicated in the assassination of prosecutor Ndoj, will be extradited to Albania, as soon as the procedures are finished.
Meçe is accused of "Murder of public officials" remaining in the attempt, "Production and possession of weapons and military ammunition without permission", "Theft committed in collaboration, more than once, "Structured criminal group" and "Ensuring the conditions/ means to commit murder".

Finalized as a result of the cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Abu Dhabi, the coded police operation "Attempt".
After the exchange of information between the two parties, an Albanian citizen declared internationally wanted for several serious criminal offenses was caught in Dubai and arrested for the purpose of extradition to Albania.
Proceedings for the extradition to Albania of the 47-year-old accused as a member of a structured criminal group continue.
Interpol Tirana, following the cooperation with counterparts in the United Arab Emirates, has exchanged information about an Albanian national wanted internationally who was hiding in Dubai. On the basis of the information exchanged between the parties, the coded police operation "Attempt" was organized, as a result of which the Albanian citizen declared internationally wanted was captured in Dubai and arrested for the purpose of extradition to Albania:
JM, 47 years old.
This citizen was declared an international wanted by Interpol Tirana after the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Murder of public officials" remaining in the attempt, "Murder", " Unauthorized production and possession of weapons and ammunition", "Theft" committed in collaboration, more than once, "Structured criminal group" and "Providing the conditions/means to commit murder".
In 2019, on the Durrës-Tirana highway, near the Shkozet overpass, the citizen JM, in collaboration with other citizens, fired a firearm at the vehicle in which the citizens AN were traveling (as a prosecutor of the Durrës Judicial District Prosecution ), AL and the AM citizen As a result of the shooting, the AM citizen lost his life and the AN and AL citizens were injured
Interpol Tirana follows the procedures in cooperation with Interpol Abu Dhabi, for the extradition of the citizen JM, to our country.
