The Tirana court has left Real Zefin and Korrado Katanan in prison, after accusations that they planted explosives in the office of the notary Esmeralda Dauti.
From the verification of the video footage of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, a "T Max" engine and its movements from the area of the former Block to the area of Farka, with which the perpetrators are suspected to have left after placing the explosives, have been recorded. During the first testimony, Corrado Katana also implicated the citizen Real Zefi as an accomplice.
Meanwhile, in this Thursday's session, he denied the testimony given to the Prosecutor's Office, claiming that he has nothing to do with the incident.
"I have nothing to do with the event, nor do we have such a relationship with Real Zefi. I made the statements under pressure and without the presence of a lawyer," he said.
Meanwhile, Real Zefi, through the lawyer, accepted the legality of the ban but not the continuation of the measure.
"There cannot be such a severe coercive measure only on the statements of one person, especially when this citizen has changed his attitude. Involvement in the event is not proven and it is not reasonable to stay in prison. I am asking for release because of family circumstances. He has a 2-year-old minor child with health problems, as well as his wife with health problems who need care", said Zefi.
According to the prosecution body, the above persons are suspected to have been paid to carry out the action, but it cannot prove until this stage by whom or under what circumstances. In addition to Katanas and Zefi, the citizen Eno Flamuraj ended up in handcuffs, while two other citizens were declared wanted. The measure against Flamuraj will be determined separately due to the criminal offense of supporting the perpetrators in crime.
According to the police, the 36-year-old man was involved in the incident after Zefi and Katana used his motorcycle to drive to the Farka area, and from there, after throwing the vehicle into the lake, they left in Korrado Katana's Audi car. .
The event in question happened on 30.01.2024, on "Perlat Rexhepi" street. The same citizens are suspected of another similar incident that happened on October 5 of last year on "Prokop Mima" street, where in the bar of the citizen Sh. Gj., a quantity of explosive material was placed, an event also suspected to have occurred against payment.
