The police of Italy and Greece in cooperation with the Albanian police made it possible to arrest three people. They are accused of various criminal offences.
Among those arrested is a 49-year-old man who, according to the police, has 4 names. Altin Merdani, Elsjabo Dikolli and Nerim Klosi alias Nerim Taci alias Ardit Klosi alias Astrit Klosi have been arrested.
The 49-year-old man with 4 names is accused of criminal offenses: "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Disturbance of public peace". He is accused of having fired a firearm on 31.12.2021
While it is known that Interpol Tirana is cooperating with counterparts in Greece and Italy, to finalize the procedures for their extradition to Albania.
"As a result of the exchange of information provided by the specialized structures of the State Police, with their counterparts in Greece and Italy, on the location of 3 citizens announced as wanted internationally, respectively on behalf of the judicial authorities in Gjirokastër, in Korça and in Mate, the partner police completed 3 police operations for their capture and detention.
- In the framework of the "Triplet" operation, the citizen AM, 45 years old, born in Memaliaj, was arrested by the Greek police. In 2017, he was sentenced by the Court of Appeal of Gjirokastra, with 4 years and 8 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offense "Trafficking of narcotics". In 2015, in cooperation with 2 other citizens, he transported 100 kg of the narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, for the purpose of trafficking. Of the total sentence, the 45-year-old has about 2 and a half years of imprisonment left to serve.

, was arrested by the Greek police, citizen ED, 31 years old. In 2023, he was sentenced by the Court of Korça, with 4 years and 7 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offense of "Aiding illegal border crossing". Of the total sentence, the 31-year-old has about 3 years and 8 months of imprisonment left to serve.
-As part of the "Masa" operation, the citizen NK alias NT alias AK alias AK, 49 years old, born in Mat, was arrested by the Italian police. In 2022, the Court of Mati has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Disturbance of public peace". He is accused of firing a firearm in the air on 31.12.2021. During the search of the apartment, the Police found firearms, explosives and military ammunition.
"Interpol Tirana is collaborating with counterparts in Greece and Italy to finalize the procedures for the extradition of these citizens to Albania," the police announced.
