The Police Surveillance Agency (Elbasan-Korçë Region) has arrested in flagrante delicto the police officer Deputy Commissioner LD, 46 years old, with the duty of Crime Investigation Specialist at the Pogradec Police Station, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Driving vehicles in a manner irregularly" and "Leaving the scene of the accident".
His arrest was made after on 25.06.2023, around 22:20, on the Pogradec-Korçë road axis, he was involved in an accident with material damage by hitting another vehicle and then left the scene.
From the first investigative actions, it turned out that the police officer was driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol beyond the permitted limits.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Korça General Jurisdiction for further actions.
