A large number of officials in Saranda have been detained by the police as part of an investigation launched by the prosecution for abuses of construction permits. It is known that officials of IMT, Hipoteka, former ALUIZNI and local government were arrested and escorted.

The number of people for whom security measures have been approved is 13, while 9 people have been escorted so far. These officials are suspected of favoring unauthorized constructions in Ksamil, Saranda and the beach area.

A few weeks ago, officers from the Sarandë Police Station arrived at the offices of the Sarandë Cadastre.

Sources at that time reported that controls and documentation seizures were carried out in connection with the investigation launched for violations of the provisions in force during the exercise of functional duties, which led to the dismissal of Aida Demi, but also for affairs with constructions. Ademi was fired after her family members had benefited from properties on the coast.

Saranda and Vlora are two cities where the heads of the Cadastre have changed almost every month due to pressures and threats related to properties. It is expected that tomorrow there will be more details on the specific charges against each official.
