Hundreds of hectares of agricultural land planted with various crops were submerged this morning in the village of Murqinë, Kruja.
The cause of this situation is the overflow of the Ishëm River as a result of heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours.
The end of the Murqinë village, which connects the neighborhood to the rest of the country, is isolated after the road was covered by water, the level of which in some points reaches about 40 cm, making the road passable only by high-altitude vehicles.
Fortunately, there are no other problems reported so far, but everything depends on the rainfall and river flows from Tirana. If the rains continue with intensity and the river flows increase, the situation will worsen.
It is enough to remember in the past, where the evacuation of residents from several neighborhoods of this village required the intervention of rescuers with rubber boats, as well as helicopters.
