The event involving Pajo
In the evening of 16.6.2023, 9 perpetrators, equipped with combat weapons, pistols and bulletproof vests, riding in a total of three vehicles, took one of them to the entrance of the yard of an industrial warehouse and entered. They then blocked the guard's car and, at gunpoint, handcuffed him as he went into the warehouse. There, 23 machines for the production of tobacco products were set on fire, as well as other objects, as a result, most of the mechanical equipment was destroyed. The damage they caused is worth 400 thousand euros.
The attackers then set fire to one of their vehicles and fled with the other two. Before they left, one of the two vehicles had their license plates changed. However, shortly after, one of the perpetrators' vehicles was involved in a traffic accident and the perpetrators were forced to abandon it.
In an attempt to find a way out, they first entered the yard of a house and then inside it and, under the threat of guns, asked the residents to hand over the keys to their vehicle, which was parked at the scene. After the residents did not fulfill their demands, the perpetrators were forced to leave the scene on foot.
During the search carried out inside the vehicle abandoned by the perpetrators, a pair of license plates and an improvised explosive were found, among other things. Then the vehicle was transferred to the laboratories of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations. A fingerprint of the 29-year-old Georgian, who fled outside Greece, was found in the vehicle, while a fingerprint of the 26-year-old Albanian Xhonatan Pajo was found in an object inside the car. The 29-year-old Georgian was also involved in an attempted murder committed by the group. Pajo has a criminal record in Greece for "theft", while after his arrest in Montenegro in October 2023, the Albanian police were officially notified, which is said to have searched his apartment in Dimal.
