Gentian Bejtja was executed yesterday afternoon at the entrance of his apartment in the village of Larushk in Fushë-Kruja. The ex-policeman had escaped assassinations three times, but yesterday when he went to the apartment where only his mother was, the enemies had apparently kept him under surveillance.
The perpetrators shot him with 30 bullets from close range, in order to make sure that this time he would not be left alive. Most of the bullets hit him in the face and body.
Valter Bami was taken to the police for this incident. The latter was arrested for the assassination of Bejtja on July 4, 2023. When he was arrested at that time, traces of gunpowder were found in his hand. Then, on January 18 of this year, the measure against Bami was changed to "house arrest" after the investigation period for the July 4 assassination ended and there was not enough evidence implicating him.
A former policeman, who early on was part of the dark world and with many connections in the north of the country, on July 4, 2023, Gentjan Bejtja escaped the bullets, but his brother-in-law, his wife's brother, Ramazan Sino lost his life. Bejtja's two children, aged 13 and 8, were injured. Since that day, he was wanted for questioning regarding the incident, but he had lost track.

Known as a former friend of Durim Bami, a person of high social risk, 42-year-old Gentjan Bejtja has been suspected of a series of events not only in the Fushë-Kruja area. In September 2016, he was assassinated with tritol. Bejtja was traveling in his "Tuareg" type car, in the village of Nikël in Krujë, when the explosive exploded from under the vehicle, severely injuring his leg.
Earlier it was rumored that, together with Enver Stafuka, they had stolen the car with which the murder of Chief Commissioner Dritan Lamajt was carried out on February 24, 2013.
But with a court decision, Betja and Stafuka were declared innocent on November 13, 2013, as it was assessed that there was no evidence. sufficient for their conviction on the charge of conspiracy to commit theft.
But due to lack of evidence, he was released in the murder of Ilias Çali on the Tirana-Durres highway, in April 2022 and when Markle Haka was shot.
