Henrik Hoxhaj, a defendant in the "Golden Bullet" case, testified in the Special Court, where he provided details about several criminal episodes and Nuredin Dumani's role in them.
During his testimony, Hoxhaj stated that Nuredin Dumani had asked him to kill businessman Elton Kila, known as "Oti", because according to him he had information that Kila was harboring Talo Çela. According to Hoxhaj, the execution was not carried out because Kila ended up in prison.
"After the event, I spoke to Nuredin on the phone. I felt a little embarrassed, but he didn't say anything about the fact that the target wasn't executed. We talked about the "Oti" issue with Nuredin. The second time I waited for him in Kukës, I went in a rented BMW. I sent someone to rent the car. We met in Kukës and went to Fier, we went to Altin Kule's house, a friend of mine, no one lived there, it was empty. I told him I needed the keys and that was it. Nuredin was wanted at the time. I knew Oti Kilë from before. We were going to take measures to execute him, then it happened that he went to prison for the motorcycle work and that conversation was over. Nuredin had information that Oti was harboring Talo Çela," he stated.
Hoxhaj also stated that on the day of the arrest he was in Elbasan, while Dumani was waiting for him in Peqin. He described the movements, vehicles used and contacts during that period, emphasizing that no other people were involved in this episode.
"I have seen him several times at his business, he sold cars in Elbasan, somewhere in Bradashesh. We did not include Skerdi Tasen at all. Nuredini asked me not to tell Skerdi his location because he was wanted. I went to Oti's business, I did not see him there and left. When we could not find him, we returned to Fier with Nuredini. I had a Benz, I rented it in Fier. Nuredini had a BMW X5, I had taken it in Kamëz, in Tirana. I took it from Aleksandër Baho "Sakati". I took the car with Skerdi. Skerdi happened to be, I did not take the castile. I did not have weapons, the weapons were in the "work car", that is where the weapons were needed. Nuredini had tested the weapons, we did a shooting from there on the Semani bridge. I did not have any connection with anyone in Elbasan. I was in Elbasan the day we were arrested, while Nuredini was in Peqin waiting for me", Hoxhaj said.
In another part of the testimony, Hoxhaj spoke about the moment when Dumani was injured and the efforts to help him.
"As I was passing through Cerrik, some police officers stopped me in Cerrik. I gave them 20 thousand lek and they let me go. Then Nuredin wrote to me, saying "Oh, come on, they killed me". I went there, I picked up Nuredin, picked up "Lilliput" and got in the back of my car. I also took the two guns. He told me to take him to Durres. I couldn't take him, so I took him to Fier. I took him to the house where he was staying. I called an acquaintance of mine, Bledin. I told him I needed two doctors. I showed him the gun and told him to come because he couldn't come to the house. I saw Nuredin's lip was black. They told me the bullet must have gone into his stomach. We couldn't get him into the hall, I forced them to take him there to save that palace," he continued.
Hoxhaj added that he did not understand how the police arrived at the scene and made the arrests, while also talking about the version that Dumani had given him about the assassination.
"Then the police came there, I don't know how. I held Nuredin in the middle of Tirana. Then Nuredin sold us all out. We killed 100 people like Nuredin did. When I asked Nuredin about the incident, he told me there were 4 people, 3 with masks, the driver without a mask was Talo Çela. I didn't believe him, but that's what he told me," he concluded.
In 2018, an assassination attempt was organized against Elton Kila, which failed, where according to investigations it was suspected that the order was given by Suel Çela and the execution by Nuredin Dumani, who was injured. Kila himself, in a previous testimony at the GJKKO, stated that he did not know Dumani and that he was not aware that he had been the target of an assassination attempt, adding that after the event he had stayed abroad for a period.
